Traditional and contemporary marbled papers
About
Maisie is a second generation paper marbler, having grown up around marbling and subsequently trained in 2020 with Kate Brett at Payhembury Marbled Papers, est. 1982.
This has given Maisie a particular grounding in the techniques used to produce traditional and historic styles of marbled papers. However, she also enjoys experimenting with how marbling can be used on other materials such as wood, ceramic, fabric and as one-off artworks.

Maisie is currently working full time towards a PhD in ecology, but finds time to marble on rainy days and weekends. Updates can be found here.

As well as producing a range of standard patterns, custom orders and collaborations are welcome.
Please email maisiefbrett(at)gmail.com for enquiries.

All papers, ceramics and fabrics are marbled individually by hand using traditional marbling techniques. For more information on this endangered heritage craft please visit the Heritage Crafts Association page on Marbling and read the 'History Of Marbling' page on this site.
